QEJ – Economic Justice Day of Action, Thurs. 4/17!

April 14, 2008

Dear Q-WAVERS,

We are joining forces with Queers for Economic Justice for their April Action (http://www.alp.org/node/195) to fight homelessness in NYC, housing issues, welfare rights, immigration justice and police/state violence within the LGBTGNC community. These are issues very keen to our people and for some, ourselves. Your presence gives tremendous power to the event to speak for the struggle and our demands for change. We invite all of you to join us, along with your friends, colleagues and even families!

If you are coming to join forces with the rally, please come and meet Aries and Lida at Union Square IN FRONT OF the PETCO on 17th & BROADWAY at 2:45pm on this THURSDAY, APRIL 17th.

If anyone is available to do security please contact QEJ asap. They REALLY need help with this so if you are able to make a training wed at 5pm at QEJ office and do security during the rally and march please email info@q-wave.org.

Please contact Aries or Lida at info@q-wave.org or check the listserv for their cell numbers. Alternately, you can just be there and look for Lida who’ll be sporting a shaved head and flamboyant red pants with black stripe & slit up the side!

Remember to wear RED for solidarity!

3:00pm – RALLY at Union Square
(wear RED for SOLIDARITY!)

4:00pm – MARCH down Broadway

5-7:30 – Community Celebration in Judson Memorial Church (Share a FREE DINNER — $4.00 Metro Card and CHILDCARE provided!)
