* What are the current issues facing the transgender community in New York City and in the United States?

Q-wave Represent! @ the 29th Annual Asian/Pacific American Heritage Festival on 5/10
May 4, 2008
hey hey, Happy May!
It’s Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month! Let’s be VISIBLE.
Q-wave is sharing a colorful table with GAPIMNY next Saturday, May 10, at the 29th Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival. Over 10,000 people will be there, making it an AMAZING opportunity for us to let everyone know who we are & what we’re about.
And, we need your help!
We need volunteers (just like your fabulous self) to come run the table, pass out info, and help people sign up for our mailing list. Imagine! You could change someone’s life by reaching out and introducing them to Q-wave. Or, help to change ours by showing the greater community that there really are queer API people on this planet and we are oh- so- coolio!
It’ll be a fun & rewarding afternoon, plus we’ll all go out to eat afterwards. Please sign up for one of these shifts by replying to <info ‘at’ qwave.org>:
A) 11:30am – 2pm || B) 1:30pm – 4pm || C) 3:30pm – 6pm
(there’ll be at least one SC member at each shift, so you won’t be alone! If you can only do parts of shifts, just email me with the times you will be there.)
We’re Queer, We’re Asian,
let’s be VISIBLE!
See you at the APAH Festival!
