Q-Wave co-sponsors Asian American Int’l Film Festival

The Asian American International Film Festival is the first and longest running festival devoted to showcasing Asian and Asian American films in the country. Beginning Thursday, July 23 and running through Sunday, July 26, AAIFF ’09 will feature ten of the year’s best feature films and over 30 short films. In addition to the screenings, the festival will also conduct panel discussions, Q&A sessions, workshops and awards.

Identity is more than the sum of innate qualities—when born out of minority status, it can emerge as a form of personal creation. Here, we witness stories of individuals and communities whose identities reveal as much about their environments as they do about themselves.
