Sunday, February 28, Come N’ Hang Out at Sunway in Flushing!

February 27, 2010

Dear Q-Wave members,

This year we are going to switch it up a bit and bring the Coffee Hour to FLUSHING! Maybe afterwards we can have dinner and taste some of the savory fares the “other Chinatown” has to offer.

This is a monthly event for everyone who is queer, LBTQ, questioning, and curious! We are here to talk about our concerns, questions, coming-out, staying-in, joy, fear, and all things that happen along the way of these experiences! We’re here to support each other. We’re here to have fun! If you think you’re anywhere from 0.001% to 100% queer, join us at Come ‘N Hang Out!

p.s. visit our website, www.asianprideproject.org/lunarnewyear to see the tremendous support from many prominent people and Chinatown- and nationally-based organizations. They are stepping up in solidarity so that we can all step out on the streets of Chinatown together with our families! Our South Asian and Irish sisters and brothers from SALGA and St. Pat’s for All, who have struggled to be included in their community parades, will also be joining us as honored members of our contingent this year.

GM 2/19: Immigration talk & Lunar Parade Prep night (note: Project Reach Location)
