“We are family!” (literally)

LGBT Asian American/ South Asian Parents and Parenting
********************************

Join SALGA, GAPIMY, and QWAVE for a discussion by LGBTs who have children and the different ways they became parents. One couple through same-sex adoption, another through a sperm donor, and a third through a prior heterosexual marriage.

The presenters will talk frankly about their personal experiences, joys and struggles of parenting, family acceptance, making mom and dad grandparents, negotiating who is “daddy” or “mommy,” issues of race, and broader community acceptance. At the end of the program, an attorney will briefly go over the nuts, bolts, and legal options for individuals and couples who want to start a family.
