Love dumplings? How about fun dates this summer?

Join Q-WAVE and members of GAPIMNY for Dumplings N’ Dates to work your deft dumpling making skills or bid on some quality time with your favourite community member.

Dumplings N' Dates

Regardless of whether you’re a dumpling master or a klutz in the kitchen, attached or single, come help us raise funds to build and strengthen the next generation of queer community leaders!

WHERE: Studio and courtyard of the New York New Church, 114 East 35th St (btw Park & Lexington Aves.)

WHEN: Saturday, 2nd June, 6 – 10pm

WHY: Because you know you want to! (support queer Asian leadership that is)

You already know the dumpling making stations, diverse dates across the gender spectrum, cash bar and fabulous MCs are going to keep you entertained, but we’ll be sending out juicy updates and surprises as the date approaches, so put us in your calendar!

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the cost? 
Answer: No cover charge. We will ask for personal donations for the food. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Dates will be available for bidding!

2) How do I pay? 
Answer: We will take cash, checks and even credit cards. 

3) When should I arrive? 

Answer: Don’t be fashionably late or you’ll miss a hot date! We will be wrapping and cooking dumplings from 6-8pm and the date auction will start promptly at 8pm and go until 10pm.

4) Do you need help? How do I help?

Proceeds from this event will benefit Q-Wave and the community’s leadership building at the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance’s Presence, Power and Progress conference in Washington, D.C. this summer. This event is supported and co-sponsored by the Gay Asian Pacific Islander Men of New York (GAPIMNY)
