Q-WAVE ANNUAL BBQ/FUNDRAISER @ PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN!

Join Q-Wave at our annual BBQ Fundraiser in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park on Sunday, Aug 12th. Meet lovely people, catch up with old friends or just come to get to know us better. We’ll have games to play, Frisbee extravaganza and lots of fun in the sun. We will provide the food and drinks (look at our lovely menu below!), you just bring your partners, family, and friends to help us celebrate our annual fundraiser/benefit BBQ! Come ready to eat around 12 noon and stay until we wrap up around 5-6pm.Date/Time: August 12

Beverages: Fresh Ginger Ale by Bruce Cost ( They have generously sponsored us 4 cases of their delicious Ginger Drink made with fresh ginger… try it at Q-wave BBQ)Donation: sliding scale of $10 – $20 ( It is our fundraising event. Please support us so that we can keep doing great things for our community!!!)Directions: By Subway, 2 options:
(1) Take the 2/3 Train to Grand Army Plaza, go to the Main Entrance, cross West Drive and enter Long Meadow, walk south on the left side, walk approx. 6 blocks to the PICNIC HOUSE AREA; OR
(2) Take the F Train to 7th Avenue, walk east two avenues to 3rd Street Park Entrance, cross West Drive, walk 1/2 block to the PICNIC HOUSE AREA. Bad with directions? If you’re feeling adventurous, wander in the general direction of the PICNIC HOUSE, we’ll have colorful balloons to help you locate us.

When you get out of the F/G train (red star), follow the blue path. There is an entrance on 5th street, go through there. You will go through a strip of parking area, keep going till you find the road where people bike/run (It's called West Drive). There are steps you take to go down to the road. Cross that road and you will find another path that take you down to picnic house. Turn left and there is an area where there are picnic tables under the shade. Choose the table closest to the picnic house because we frequently need to access the picnic house for washing things and for water. When you are standing there, in front of you is a field. Right to you is the picnic house. Above you is nice big tree branches...
