Q-Wave Leadership & Community Development Retreat (Limited spots)

30 Jul 2010 - 00:00

Blairstown, NJ

We are inviting Q-Wave’s leaders, volunteers, and interested Q-Wavers
with no prior experience to come together this July around two goals:

1) provide a community bonding experience so that our leaders &
volunteers can build a common vision of Q-Wave’s future work, and;
2) enhance the knowledge and concrete leadership skills for Q-Wavers
to be effective activists in the API and LGBTQ communities.

The retreat will include workshops, discussions, and some hiking,
exercising, and BBQ as part of the bonding activities. Volunteers will
take the lead to prepare meals on each day, and all will help with
cleanups; two current Q-Wave leaders will direct the scheduled
events. Don Kao, a long time QAPI activist and the executive director
at Project Reach, will facilitate and provide training for certain
workshops.
